Wayne L. Sager MD

Dr. Sager is a long way from home. He was born and raised in Montana and most of his family still remains there. He married Cherie from New Mexico and she said there is no way I can live in Montana! They lived for some time in Albuquerque and Hobbs New Mexico before looking into what Texas has to offer.

He became interested in medicine when he looked to see what career he could find that he could 1) help people and 2) use his favorite area of study every day - Science. He attended high school in Anaconda, MT and then moved to Bozeman, MT for his undergraduate study at Montana State University. He attended University of New Mexico in Albuquerque for medical school. This is where he met his wife. He then moved to Portland, ME and served his residency at Maine Medical Center. Dr. Sager and Cherie have three children, two daughters and a son. One thing that most people don't know about Dr. Sager is that he's got rhythym. In his time off he enjoys playing the drums and listening to various types of music. His most favorite is jazz. He and his family enjoy downhill skiing and spelunking. Yep, you might want to look that one up, it's fascinating!

Dr. Sager is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), he is a Fellow of the AAP (FAAP), Texas Pediatric Society (TPS), he is past Chief of Pediatrics and Chief of Staff at St James Healthcare in Butte, MT and Lee Regional Hospital in Hobbs, NM. He is also the past Chief of Pediatrics for Midland Memorial Hospital.

We're very lucky to have Dr. Sager here. He brings to us a vast knowledge of medicine, life experiences and a great personality!
